I don’t think I’d be alone in objecting against the movies that have been lined up … In my opinion, I think that perhaps movies a little less resticted in their target audience would make the event more alluring, for obvious reasons. Besides that, I really, really like the idea of a moonlit cinema! It would be so lovely and I just wish the movies appealed to a larger demographic. Thanks!

I think the moonlight movies are a great idea and shows wonderful initiative by all those responsible in the planning. Well done! The movies have been well selected based on their film classification rating and are considerate of families with young children who will be in attendance. To Port Macquarie Hastings Council, Country Energy and Newcastle Permanent Building Society a big thank you for putting up the funds to make this event possible.
I am really looking forward to participating in the moonlight movies together with my family. Thank you to Peter Besseling and those others who have supported the activity. I anticipate moonlight movies will be a fantastic opportunity to enjoy town green, activate this space in the summer evenings, see some great movies and to connect with others in the community.
Perhaps we should consider something for Town Green in the Winter months too – our climate is so great.
I think it’s an awesome idea…. i think it would be even better if it happened once a month throughout summer & not just in school holidays…. Once a month on a saturday night would be a great way for families to spend a night with each other, along with groups of friends & couples.
Great initiative and well timed. Nice to see Wauchope included as little family entertainment available this way.
Movie choice is pretty good I think – young kids, teenagers & adults catered for without being too ‘arty’ as some film festivals are. Well timed to catch a few of the country music tourists visiting Wauchope – the longer they’re in town, the more they spend!

Congratulations to all involved in the screening of the Moonlight Movies. What a fantastic idea and great to see so many people (of all ages) out enjoying themselves. A great family orientated entertainment idea. Thanks and hopefully it will become an annual event.
Excellent idea, it will be a popular choice for tourists and local families alike.
However, it would be a fantastic idea to tempt the older (non children) people along as well by showing some adult films…not all PG and G.
I was a frequent flyer at the Moonlight Cinema in Centennial Park…fun times had by all.

A fantastic idea. I hope family, outdoor events such as these will be well patronised and can continue to be held. Great to see the venues shared throughout the Hastings too. I’m with Kiralee – more often throughout Summer and Autumn as our climate is so mild.
